Investment thesis

David Nevečeřal, Founder
The current investment round should help Spendee with product enrichment and mostly with growth and product expansion. Up until now we relied on organic growth, but we believe we should move to next phase. At the same time, we know we must carefully craft our product before it becomes a full-fledged autonomous financial assistant.
That is also why we have gladly accepted Grouport as one of the current round co-investors – Grouport is a down-to-earth, hands-on type of fund. It’s not just about the money, it’s about the people and the level of engagement. In reality it’s like having numerous engaged angels at the same time. We find this model attractive.

Spendee is developing a digital financial assistant that reflects the needs of the new user generation. They have demonstrated that they can create a great product with 250 000+ users worldwide, managing their finances on a daily basis. The new generation does not want to be limited by the constraints of the financial institutions. Nor do they want to use financial advisors of various quality. We believe that tech companies can offer better quality services than those offered by incumbent financial institutions. We see that this trend is hitting the financial mainstream. We support the team’s vision and will gladly help along.
